Bangladesh is in a state of chaos, faced with ongoing political turmoil and challenges in the garment industry. One is reported dead and many have been injured in the four-day strike organized by the opposition party in Bangladesh against the ruling party calling for a nonpartisan administration to oversee the elections. The chaos only escalated when five leaders of the opposition party were arrested. The opposition party has been organizing shutdowns and protests over the last two weeks which has led to at least 18 deaths. The instability in Bangladesh has only increased, and on Monday over 100 factories closed down due to protests led by workers demanding a minimum wage increase.
